Terms of Sales
These general conditions of sale are intended for the reservation and use of stays in guest rooms at the Jardin dans les vignes, 5 Barrejats, 33720 Barsac, France. They constitute the reservation contract between the owner of the Garden in the vineyards and the guest of a room stay.
Article 1 - Duration of stay:The customer rents one or more rooms for a fixed period and may not under any circumstances invoke any right to remain in the premises.
Article 2 - Prices: The prices indicated on the website are the only contractual prices. The rates do not include the tourist tax which will be paid during the stay.
Article 3 - Confirmation of a reservation: The reservation is made on the website, on Booking or Expedia, by email or by phone. The reservation is considered firm only after receipt of a deposit cashed upon receipt and deductible from the invoice on arrival. The deposit must be paid no later than 5 working days from the date of the reservation request. The deposit amount is 30% of the total price of the stay. The deposit is paid by secure payment.The payment of a deposit implies acceptance of these general conditions of sale. Upon receipt of the deposit, the owner sends an email of good receipt with the details of the service reserved, having contract value.
Article 4 - Cancellation by the customer: Any cancellation must be notified by email to the owner, by phone or via Booking / Expedia.
• If the cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the start of the stay, the deposit will be returned to the customer.
• If the cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the start of the stay, the deposit remains with the owners.
• In the event of a no show, the owner reserves the right to dispose of the room, to keep the deposit and to claim the balance of the price of the accommodation.
• In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of accommodation remains fully acquired by the owner.
Article 5 - Cancellation by the owner: When, before the start of the stay, the owner cancels the stay, for reasons beyond his control, he must inform the customer as quickly as possible by telephone or email. This will be refunded immediately of the sums paid.
Article 6 - Arrival time: The customer must present himself on the day specified for the reservation and at the times mentioned below. Rooms are available by appointment from 4:00 p.m. Please advise if you arrive after 8 p.m.
Article 7 - Time of departure: The rooms must be vacated by 11 am. After 12 noon, an additional night will be charged.
Article 8 - Payment of the balance for the accommodation: The balance for the stay will be payable on departure. Payment of the balance can be made:
• Cash
• By secure payment
• By credit card.
Consumption and additional services will be paid at the end of the stay.
Cheques are not accepted.
Article 9 - Tourist tax: The tourist tax is a local tax and is not included in the price of the night. It is collected by the owners on behalf of the municipality and is then transferred to the Public Treasury.
Article 10 - Change of rooms: Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owners reserve the right to change the room initially reserved by the customer with a room of the same capacity. In such a case, the cost of the reservation remains unchanged.
Article 11 - Capacity: The reservation is made for a specific number of people (2 per room). If on the day of arrival, the number of occupants is greater, the owners are able to refuse the additional people (children included). This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or termination of the contract at the initiative of the owners, so that in the event of the departure of a greater number of people than those refused, no refund can be considered.
Article 12 - Breakfast: Breakfast is served upon arrival from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the dining room or in the garden if the weather permits.
Article 13 - Pets: For reasons of hygiene and the tranquility of our guests, pets are not accepted.In the event of non-compliance with this clause by the customer, the refusal to accept the animals and their owners cannot be assimilated to a modification or termination of the contract at the initiative of the owner. So that in case of departure of the customer, no refund can be considered.
Article 14 - Art of living, use of the premises: Respect for a certain art of living is required of all guests to guarantee the tranquility of the place and the comfort of each.The Garden in the Vines is an entirely non-smoking area.
The customers will take care to respect the peace and quiet. It is requested not to eat in the rooms.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare, and financially assume, any possible degradation for which he could be responsible. Children are the sole responsibility of their parents.
Article 15 - Data processing and freedoms: In accordance with the law, the customer has the right to access and rectify data concerning him.The owner undertakes not to transmit the information communicated to other companies or organizations.

Article 16 - Lifetime and modification of the conditions of sale: The present conditions of sale can be modified at any time without notice. The acceptance and respect of these general conditions of sale are deemed to be acquired upon payment of the deposit.
